Overview

The Department of Biostatistical Sciences includes faculty and staff with expertise in statistics, programming, data management and clinical trial conduct and management. The Department conducts and publishes research in statistical methodology, study design, statistical applications, quantitative epidemiology, systems development, applications programming, and other empirical or information-based disciplines.

Members of the Department collaborate on biomedical research projects carried out by many departments within Wake Forest University Health Sciences. In addition, the Department is actively involved in research projects with our fellow colleagues within other institutions, providing biostatistical, programming, and logistical support for single- and multi-center biomedical research studies to make meaningful contributions to all aspects of public health. The Department provides an environment conducive to inter-disciplinary research, professional development, mutual respect, and collegiality for its members.

The Department of Biostatistical Sciences within Public Health Sciences is a collaborative effort comprised of not only Faculty members, but also Biostatisticians, Project Managers, Analyst/Programmers, Support Staff, Systems, SAS/Analytical Programmers, Data Coordinators and various Ultrasound areas.
